Knight's Armament - SR-15 SBR - CQB MOD 2

The Knight's Armament SR-15 E3 Mod 2 series 5.56 mm NATO hammer forged barrel is manufactured for military grade durability, and is free-floated inside a URX4 M-LOK handguard. Hammer forging increases durability and barrel life and is subsequently heat treated to relieve any stress induced during the process.

An improved E3 round-lug bolt design of the Knights Armament SR-15 both enhances function and increases bolt life far beyond the industry standard. Specifically designed for the AR-15 platform, these features combine to greatly enhance the rifle's overall performance. The SR-15 E3 bolt features an enlarged bolt face that provides more positive engagement in the chamber and locking lugs, which are in turn rounded to help prevent chipping, cracking and snapping. Shaped like a butterfly, the E3 extractor is a unique technological breakthrough that helps ensure extreme reliability. By shifting the pivot point forward to help balance the extractor and then apply constant pressure on the cartridge case, extraction failures have been practically reduced to zero. 

The ambidextrous bolt release, selector lever, and magazine release on the SR-15 offers left-handed users the ergonomic advantages inherent to AR15-based controls.

The drop-in two-stage trigger in the Knights Armament SR-15 serves double duty as an aid to precision marksmanship while enabling surgical speed shooting at close range. Shooters will find that this relatively lightweight match system offers a capable competition rifle, as well as providing a precision perimeter weapon for law enforcement. The 5.56 mm 3-Prong Flash Eliminator interferes with propellant gas combustion forward of the muzzle to significantly reduce flash signature, will not ring upon firing or when struck, and is compatible with the Knight’s line of 5.56 mm QDC Signature Reduction Devices.
